My name is Lydia and since a very young age, I have had a passion for all things French language, history and culture. I have been speaking French since I was three-years-old and I’m now a graduate of the University of New England’s Diploma of Modern Languages. During my time at university I have achieved straight distinctions and high distinctions.

I am currently a volunteer teacher at the local nursing home teaching French to the residents. When I began my work there, I realised how much I enjoy sharing French with people.

My mission at Le Béret Rouge is to make French language learning accessible, flexible and fun. Learning a language can be difficult, and often courses adopt a one size fits all approach. What distinguishes Le Béret Rouge is that I customise each lesson to the individual student(s), taking into account their personal goal, prior experience and learning style to create a positive learning experience.
